    From the webmaker list:

    Hi all,
Thanks a lot for letting us know about this new feature. I am sure it's
been long awaited as recording is an important part of video making. Also
being able to record one's own video within Popcor Maker is just a huge leap
into making Popcorn Maker a perfect learning tool and a fun way of starting
    to make one's own web!
What a great idea to keep our clips right within Popcorn's media gallery! A
simple click/drag and you have your clip on the timeline for editing!
I was able to configure my webcam with the flash screen and got the image
right away on the screen. Then, I started recording a short clip, then
stopped the recording. Once complete, the video clip was added to the media
library (with thumbnails, which is cool when we have many clips).
And yes, I added it to the timeline and played with added some events and
played with it for some time!
I love the clip editor feature which allows you to mute audio or even use
audio only by disabling video. This is a very useful feature as it make a
video clip usable is three different ways: audio+video, audio only and
    video only.
You can play with clips volume, length and also have the Youtube URL on the
same sceen.Imagine what we can do with this feature when teaching kids! As
a language teacher, my mind is bubbling with new ideas just seconds after I
    started testing the recording feature...
One thing I was a little annoyed with is the one-click adding the clip to the
timeline. That can be improved by maybe highlighting/selecting the clip,
maybe another clik for playing, finally double-click/drag for adding to the
This is just an enthusiastic first reaction and a short review of a great
fan of Popcorn, a true believer in web literacy! Will keep testing and maybe
    come up with more feedback!
    Cheers all

From the YouTube API Terms of Service:

If Your API Client uses the YouTube API to permit users to upload videos to YouTube, the screen or window in which the end user clicks the "upload" button must display the following warning:

"By clicking 'upload,' you certify that you own all rights to the content or that you are authorized by the owner to make the content publicly available on YouTube, and that it otherwise complies with the YouTube Terms of Service located at [insert appropriate URL]."

If the upload is performed on a personal computer or other non-mobile device, the appropriate URL is http://www.youtube.com/t/terms. If the upload is performed on a mobile device, the appropriate URL is http://m.youtube.com/terms. If Your end users' videos will be uploaded to Your channel on the YouTube Website and not to the user's channel, You must notify the user of the terms of ownership of such video between You and the user.

Yeah, we're gonna need to include that. It will need UI consideration.

I've been unable to log into my persona and thus unable to save. When I pick the persona supported email that I want to sign in with, I get a Popcorn Maker generated dialog that says "There was an error logging in. Please try again"

I've tried different emails, they all do the same.

Jacob, I think something is wrong with the server setup. There might be an issue in the config on that server and how it's communicating with Persona since our own server isn't throwing any invalid HTTP codes.

    The response specifically is:

      "status": "failure",
      "reason": "audience mismatch: port mismatch"

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm proxying from port 80 to an internal port of a different number. gonna try something.

Use whatever your browser address bar says ( so appHostname should be http://webcam.mofostaging.net )
